(Press Release) The forecasted high winds for tonight (Friday) and into Saturday may result in potential power outages in many parts of our electric service area. We are proactively gearing up and alerting everyone involved from our end to be ready in case they are needed to respond and help restore power.
"Safety" will again be our key request as wind, downed branches from trees and power lines can make for dangerous situations.
You can follow along and keep track of electric outages by accessing the on-line, real-time link from Wisconsin Public Service at: http://www.wisconsinpublicservice.com/outagesummary/view/outagegrid.aspx
This link will provide you with the number of customers without power and in what areas they are located, as well as other information and safety messages. It is updated every 15 minutes.
Again, we hope this anticipated wind storm treats us kindly, but we are ready to respond if the lights go out.
