It’s the moment every kid dreams of—the announcement their school is closed due to snow. It might be nice for kids to get a break, but day off can certainly disrupt a parent’s schedule.
Meteorologist Chad Franzen says the majority of counties in our area; Adams, Clark, Juneau, Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Menominee, Portage, Taylor and Wood can expect between 5-6 inches of snow by Thursday afternoon. Oneida and Price will be looking at 4-6 inches. Waupaca, Shawano and Waushara Counties may see 7-9 inches and Vilas County will experience lake effect snow which could dump up to a foot of snow by Friday.
NewsChannel 7 call around to area Boys and Girl Clubs, many of which said they do expand their hours to accommodate working parents on snow days.
