Rain May Be to Blame for Appleton Business's Roof Collapsing

An employee at an Appleton business managed to escape without injuring following the building roof collapse Monday morning.

According to WLUK-TV, firefighters say heavy rains may be to blame for the roof collapsing at Sign Works.

It happened around 9 a.m. at 809 W. College Ave. One employee was inside, but got out safely.

The National Weather Service says Appleton received about 2.18 inches of rain as of 7 a.m. Monday.
