A fire near Bittersweet Road and Aster Road in Rib Mountain is now out. The DNR is expected to stay at the scene until p.m. surveying the area.
Departments from Rib Mountain and the DNR were paged to the area around 11 a.m. They say about an acre was damaged.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
The fire danger for today is very high in Marathon County.
