Sunny and warm growing conditions are helping Wisconsin farm fields along. According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, farmers are working hard to plant corn and soybeans while cutting first crop hay.

Wet soil was able to dry out to the point where dust and soil crusting was concern. As of Sunday, bout 83 percent of corn is now in the ground, with 37 percent now emerged.

Spring tillage is now more than 90 percent complete and farmers are applying liquid manure to cleared hay fields.
