KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- A tornado reported west of Kenosha tore up some trees as severe storms moved through late Friday and produced downpours and street flooding.
The latest storms hit less than 12 hours after severe weather and heavy rains caused flash flooding across much of southern Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service said two spotters reported a tornado with moderate tree damage just after 6 p.m. five miles west of Kenosha. There also were reports of other tree damage in Kenosha County. Wind gusts around 60 to 70 mph were reported at Pleasant Prairie.
The heavy rain on saturated ground left water 2 1/2 feet deep at an intersection near State Fair Park in West Allis where a truck race was being run at the Milwaukee Mile track Friday night.
