Crews from We Energies had a busy night, racing to restore power throughout southern Wisconsin as storms left more than 14,000 people without electricity.

As of late last night, about 2,400 people were still without power. Utility spokeswoman Irissol Arce (AR'-say) says most of them are in the Waukesha area.

No injuries were reported from the wind and thunder storms that downed power lines starting about 3:30 p.m.

National Weather Service meteorologist Rusty Kapela says wind damage was heaviest in Dodge and Jefferson counties in southeast Wisconsin.

He says one Jefferson County home had five windows blown out and shingles tossed from the roof. A barn in Rock County was also damaged.

Kapela says golf ball-sized hail was reported near Portage and Waupun.
