Wood County authorities say several homes in the Town of Saratoga, south of Wisconsin Rapids, were damaged in Sunday night's storm.
The Saratoga Town hall was set up as a command center for emergency responders to gather and await orders. A medical helicopter and EMTs also were on standby in the area for any serious injuries. Fortunately, no calls of life threatening injuries came in.
A horse farm in Saratoga was among those properties damaged. Owner Debi Clark tells NewsChannel 7 she watched from her window as the roof of her barn and much of her property start flying around. One of her horses was found in a nearby woods with a minor injury, but is expected to be okay.
