More than $77,000 is on it's way to tornado victims in Lincoln County, thanks to the "Help Merrill" food drive and fundraiser.

Todd Nicklaus from the River Valley Bank, Mark Matthiae from Crystal Finishing Systems and Jeff Thelen from NewsChannel 7 presented the check to Dee Olson and Dennis McCarthy of the Merrill United Way during the Friday morning broadcast of Sunrise 7, WSAW TV's morning show.

The Nicklaus family and bank matched donations up to $25,000. Crystal Finishing provided delivery of countless pounds of nonparishable food and WSAW TV provided free advertising for the effort.

The donations will be distributed to tornado victims through the United Way and St. Vincent de Paul.

Lincoln County, especially Merrill and parts of Adams County were devistated by a tornado April 10. Millions of dollars of damage was done, but no one was hurt.

It's not too late to contribute. The "Help Merrill" account will stay open at all branches of the River Valley Bank.
