Fallen Trees Cause Damage in Merrill

Storms blow through Northcentral Wisconsin on Saturday, uprooting trees in Merrill.. a city still recovering from a spring tornado.

A fast moving storm packing winds up to 65-miles per hour ripped branches off of trees. And entire trees were uprooted from wet grounds.

Lincoln County authorities say they received about 50 reports of problems in Merrill alone right after the storm.

Branches and trees fell over onto wires, knocking out power.

One man who lost his home and business to April's tornado found a tree on one of his cars Saturday afternoon.

The sounds of chainsaws fired up almost right after the clouds moved out.

Authorities say it's going to take a while to get cleaned up after the storms.
