According to Wisconsin Public Service, there are still thousands of people without power in the area.
A majority of the outages are in the Northwoods.
As of 9 a.m. Sunday, there are still more than 16,000 people without electricity.
Power was knocked out after severe thunderstorms ripped through much of the area Saturday.
The worst areas hit were Eagle River and Minocqua.
Other areas affected are Merrill, Rhinelander, Tomahawk and Wausau.
WPSC crews warn residents to stay away from downed power lines: do not touch them and call WPSC immediately to report any outages.
They say power should be back on later this evening, there maybe a few residents in the dark until Monday.
