In 2005, the Midwest Independent Film Festival awarded "The Godfather of Green Bay" best comedy. The creator of the movie, Pete Schwaba lived in Marinette, Wisconsin as a child before creating a movie there as an adult. Schwaba wrote, directed and stars in his own slightly romantic comedy and is spending the weekend in North Central Wisconsin to promote it.
