Pinch Pots & Alternative Clay Firings 2

Nov 1, 2014 9am - 4pm

Wisconsin Concrete Park, Phillips, WI
In the second of two workshops in this clay series, attendees will experience two exciting ways to kiln fire pottery outdoors, each creating different dramatic glazing effects. With students’ help, John Langer will load a steel barrel with bisque pieces created in October along with various other materials and set it on fire. While this “pit firing” is burning, John will demonstrate a raku firing, also outdoors. There will be a pot luck lunch to enjoy in between the firings on this late fall day. Registration and a $50 fee are required for this 2-workshop series.
