Kronenwetter Fire Department Fun Run

September is beautiful weather for running, so why not run/walk for fun for the Kronenwetter Fire Department? Join us for our first annual 5K to help raise money for Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services.

Waupaca Walk for Wellness

Oneida County Jog for the Dogs

The Oneida County Humane Society is hosting a "Jog for the Dogs 5K" on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Minocqua Park on Highway 70 West. Check out the event website for info! http://www.jogforthedogs.com/

The early registration fee is $30. This event will be a fun run where all humans may run (or walk!) with their best friends. Dogs are encouraged, and will be awarded prizes to top finishers in each weight class. Please be sure to come out for a fun run and great case!

Ministry's Together Learning To Cope Remembrance Walk

Our 2nd Annual Remembrance Walk will take place Saturday, October 4, 2014! This walk will be done to remember all babies that have died during pregnancy, at birth or shortly after birth and also to help raise awareness of pregnancy and infant loss. Everyone is welcome to attend (Parents, grandparents, siblings, children, friends, etc.). We will meet at Wildwood Park in Marshfield, Wisconsin near the large playground. Plan to arrive starting at 9:00 am that morning and the walk will begin at 10 am. Rain or shine! The walk this year will be approximately two miles in length.
A registration/waiver form must be completed and turned in by all who will be walking on or before the day of the event. T-shirts for this event are available for purchase and must be ordered and paid for ahead of time. T-shirts will be handed out to those who have pre-ordered them on the day of the walk. Please e-mail me for the registration form. It is not required to have a t-shirt to walk though. Hope to see you there!!

Walk with us this fall and help defeat these debilitating digestive diseases once and for all! The money we raise supports patient programs, raises awareness, and propels critical research for cures.

You can start your own team or walk as an individual. When you form a team, you increase your impact -- and your fun -- by rallying friends, family, and coworkers to walk and fund-raise with you. You'll have great tools and support to raise funds, including your own fundraising website, loaded with great tips and content. Run to Remember

The Nicolet College Foundation will hold the Second Annual Run to Remember and Family Fun Day Saturday, Sept 20th, to raise money for scholarships in honor of Kory Dahlvig, a Nicolet graduate and former Vilas County sheriff’s deputy who lost his life in an on-duty traffic accident.
The event on the Nicolet College Campus will feature a 5K run/walk with participants lining up at 9:45 a.m. and the race beginning at 10 a.m. The line-up for the half-mile children’s event will take place at 10:45 a.m. and start at 11 a.m. We will also have free family activities during and after the 5K.
Registration fee for the 5K is $25 before September 6th and $30 after that date. The children’s run/walk is free.

Minocqua No Frills Marathon

The Minocqua No Frills Marathon continues to keep it simple and affordable for its third year because, at this marathon, it’s all about the race.
The race accommodates those who aspire to run their first marathon, as well as veteran runners trying to better their times or qualify for the Boston Marathon.
Cost is $35 through Friday, August 30th register online at www.minocquanofrillsmarathon.com or at the Minocqua Chamber of Commerce. The race will begin at 7 am at Nokomis Community Park, 20 miles south of Minocqua, and follows the Bearskin Trail back to finish at the trail head behind the Minocqua Post Office. The No Frills Marathon is proud to be a certified qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.

This 2 and 5 Mile run/walk in and around beautiful Carson Park is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. It’s family friendly yet tough enough for the hard-core competitors. Ages 5-85 typically participate and average attendance is 1,500 people. Help us grow this year’s event by inviting a family member or friend to join you!
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.
After the race, enjoy concessions, live music, race results and an awards ceremony during the Party in the Park. There’s even a kids’ race starting at 11:30 with local business mascots.
For those who can’t attend Saturday, there’s a 2 mile race on Wednesday, August 27. Registration at 5:30, race at 6:00 with award and concessions to follow.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the Alzheimer's Association's signature event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. Start a team, join a team or sponsor a team. The 2-3 mile Walk includes food and raffles. If you can't make it on September 13th, register today to be a virtual walker! Proceeds benefit local programs of the Alzheimer's Association.

**There is no registration fee. T-shirts are awarded to adults raising $100 or more and Champions Club medals are awarded to those raising $500 or more. Youth 18 and under receive a t-shirt after raising $35.00.
