Buffalo Wild Wings Eat Wings Raise Funds for National Foundation for Transplants in honor of Jake Calhoun on Wednesday, October 22 from 11 am until close.

While visiting Florida to compete in the Wrestling World Team Trials, Jake Calhoun, Muhlenberg Head Wrestling Coach, suffered a heat stroke resulting in liver failure. Thankfully, he was able to receive a lifesaving transplant on June 23, 2014. His family and friends invite you to join together with them, across the country -near his hometown of Stevens Point, WI and in his current home of Central Pennsylvania- on October 22nd at Buffalo Wings to raise money for his medical expenses.

Wednesday, Oct. 22, the following Buffalo Wild Wings locations will donate* 10 percent of their proceeds to NFT in Calhoun’s honor.

The Neighbors' Place Hosts 7th Annual Empty Bowls

Rothschild Pavillion
Local artists, students, and community members handcraft and donate hundreds of bowls to the event each year. These bowls serve as a reminder that somewhere in our community there is someone who is hungry and faces an uncertain future due to poverty.

For a $10 ticket (children 6-12 $5 (meal only); children under 6 eat free), attendees will receive a:

• Handcrafted bowl
• Meal of soup, bread, and dessert (donated by local restaurants and chefs)
• Live (local) music
• Opportunity to participate in a silent auction
• The satisfaction of knowing you've helped a neighbor in need - all proceeds from the event benefit The Neighbors' Place Food Bank!

The Neighbors' Place Food Bank provides food to more than 500 families each week. But with 25% of our neighbors in Marathon County living in poverty, this number continues to increase--despite the fact that the majority of these families are employed.
