4th Annual Mike's Run

Mike was an incredible father, brother, son, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.. On the surface, Mike had it all – Valedictorian, State Champion athlete, loving family, and a great heart. Everyone knew Mike was destined for success and happiness. However, inside he struggled with anxiety and depression for most of his life. He battled that illness in every way possible, before ending his life on June 23, 2010.

Marshfield Clinic and the family and friends of Mike Hackman are joining together to speak out about mental illness. Through Mike's Run, we want to bring an awareness of mental health problems to the public and provide a hopeful message for all of the people affected by these challenges. Help us spread awareness of mental health issues and decrease the stigma. We need your support.

Race Information:
5 Mile Run-
- $20 registration fee
- Route on bike/walking trail and on neighborhood streets
- Cash prizes awarded for top finishers. high school athletes are not eligible to win cash prizes per WIAA regulations
- No walkers, rollerblades or stollers on this course.

2 Mile Fun Run/walk-

Join us for the 32nd Annual Leader-Telegram Buckshot Run benefitting Special Olympics Wisconsin. This 2 and 5 Mile run/walk in and around beautiful Carson Park is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. It’s family friendly yet tough enough for the hard-core competitors. Ages 5-85 typically participate and average attendance is 1,500 people. Help us grow this year’s event by inviting a family member or friend to join you!
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.
After the race, enjoy concessions, live music, race results and an awards ceremony during the Party in the Park. There’s even a kids’ race starting at 11:30 with local business mascots.
For those who can’t attend Saturday, there’s a 2 mile race on Wednesday, August 27. Registration at 5:30, race at 6:00 with award and concessions to follow.

Marshfield Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the Alzheimer's Association's signature event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. Start a team, join a team or sponsor a team. The 2-3 mile Walk includes food and raffles. If you can't make it on September 13th, register today to be a virtual walker! Proceeds benefit local programs of the Alzheimer's Association.

**There is no registration fee. T-shirts are awarded to adults raising $100 or more and Champions Club medals are awarded to those raising $500 or more. Youth 18 and under receive a t-shirt after raising $35.00.

Wisconsin Lions Camp Fun Run, Walk and Ride

On August 16, 2014, the Wisconsin Lions Camp will be hosting its 5th Annual Fun Run, Walk and Ride. This event is for runners, walkers, and bikers of all different skill levels. Proceeds raised at this event support our Summer Camp Program that provides a free camp experience for Wisconsin youth and adults with disabilities
The 5K run or walk and 10K run will be held on the beautifully maintained nature trails of the Wisconsin Lions Camp. Both the 15 mile and 30 mile bike rides start and end at the Camp and take you through a scenic countryside. Both events are chip-timed. The 5K and 10K courses are certified (WI-11021-DM).

6th Annual Woodson YMCA Duathlon/Badger State Games

The Duathlon will offer a course consisting of a 5K run, 28K bike and ending with a 3K run for both individuals and teams. This is the perfect race to begin your triathlon/race season. Proceeds will benefit our Community Partners Campaign. Attend a mandatory race meeting at 7:30 a.m. and race starts at 8:30 a.m. Sat. June 14, 2014 at Aspirus Branch.

Crum Run (Poker Run)

The Crum Family & Angels of Miracles are hosting a Poker Runs called the Crum Run on June 7, 2014 with our Headquarters being at The Last Straw, 1295 County Road F, Athens, WI in honor of David Crum.

We are holding this Poker Run to raise awareness and money for Childhood Colitis & Crohn's Diaease.

The Crum family lost David Crum who past away this past year. He suffered for years from Ulcerative Colitis which caused scar tissue over time from inflammation. Utlimately he passed away from a rare and terminal cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma. Also known as bile duct cancer.
