The 32st annual Lake DuBay Lions Summerfest event featuring great food, beverage, beer, wine coolers, bingo 6:30-10 pm Fri. & Sat., games, raffles, and live music bands. On Friday night the Jerry Schmitt band plays from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm and on Saturday night the band The Cow Tippers plays from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm. On Saturday, breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, at 8:00 am our rummage sale starts, a children's petting zoo from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at 4:00pm a Polka Mass with the Old Time Brass & Choraleers, and a chicken dinner at 5:00pm. Also on Saturday, The Dewey Fire Department sponsors a motorcycle ride from Lions Park to Dells of the Eau Claire (registration 10:30 am). The money raffle drawing will be at 10:00 pm on Saturday. WVLHS ValleyFest

Save the date, you will not want to miss this! The Board of Directors at WVLHS is pleased to announce our second annual ValleyFest to be held on the school grounds on June 8 and 9. We will be bringing a classic car show, flea market, rummage sale, cribbage tournament and live music along with incredible food all to celebrate and support the ministry of Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School.
On Saturday June 8, ValleyFest will kick off at 8:00 AM with a classic car show, flea market and rummage sale that will run throughout the day. In addition live music will be going on all day under the big tent including Contemporary Christian, Country and Classic Rock bands. Beginning at 10:00 AM will be WVLHS’s own PB & J Praise Team. Then from noon until 3:00 PM The Rich Pinski Trio will be playing country music. Next to play will be the Classic Rock band Running With Scissors from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
On Sunday June 9, Spirit of Life Lutheran Church will open the day with an outdoor worship service beginning at 10:00 AM. Polka music will then fill the air with The Spotlight Polka Band of Merrill playing old time polkas, waltzes, schottisches, big band and modern music from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Throughout the entire two days of ValleyFest there will be an excellent selection of food and you won’t want to miss a single minute of all the fun and fellowship that is planned, all to support this mission and ministry of WVLHS!

7th Annual Free Strawberry Fest Model Contest, Waupaca Recreation Center, Waupaca, WI. Hours: Saturday, June 15, 10 AM to 5 PM,

Contestants model cars, trucks, ships, aircraft, trains, scenery, structures, Legos and miscellaneous. Come to view the entries, or enter your favorite models. Everyone is welcome to enter the contest. There are junior and adult classes to encourage young modelers. Entries much be accompanied by a completed official entry blank. Entry fees for 3 entries is $5.00 for juniors/$10.00 for adults. There is an additional $1.00 per entry over three entries and no limit on the number of entries per person. Contestants can register models between 8 AM and Noon.

24th Annual Strawberry Fest Model Railroad Show

Two huge gyms feature ten operating model railroad layouts (some as large as 24’ x 52’), a Lego layout and a hands-on Thomas the Tank Engine layout for the children. Ride the train with Engineer Ted, and switch trains with Conductor Carlson. Shop the hobby shop dealers and vendors and the swap/sales tables. Visit the model contest on Saturday. Attend the Demonstration Derby, both Saturday, 6/15 and Sunday 6/16 featuring continuous how-to demonstration sessions by modelers who will answer questions and show you how it is done. They will be working on trains, buildings, scenery, cars, boats, airplanes and more. Special Guest, Mark Lasee, a masterful modeler of highly detailed structures will also be demonstrating his techniques and answering your questions.
