Community Color Run

The Community Color Run for United Way is a family friendly event focused on raising money for the United Way!

This is about about having the time of your life, The Community Color Run for United Way is a five-kilometer or 2 mile, un-timed race in which hundreds of participants, are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:
1.Wear white at the starting line
2.Finish plastered in color!

The fun continues after Community Color Runners complete the race with an unforgettable Finish Party. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing and massive color throws, which create millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party in Central Wisconsin!

Celebrate Native American Heritage

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the library on November 8th! This family-friendly event is open to all ages, and starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters.
Staff from the American Indian Resource Center in Wausau will share stories, dances, and music. Participants of all ages will have an opportunity to learn dance steps and practice with the rest of the group. Afterwards, children will learn how to make their own dreamcatcher.
All supplies for the craft are provided, and this event is free and open to the public.

Wolf River Volunteer Fire Department Holiday Open House

Dec 6, 2014 Noon - 4pm

Wolf River Town Hall just south of the intersection of Highways 64 and 55.
This family-friendly event features the firefighters' chili cook-off, holiday treats, tours of the station, and fire safety information. Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation of canned goods or 9volt smoke detector batteries for the local food pantry. The open house will be held at the fire station and town hall in Langlade, just south of the intersection of Highways 64 and 55.
