June Dairy Breakfast to Be Held in Merrill


MERRILL — The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Lincoln County Farm Bureau and the Lincoln County Dairy Promotion Committee are happy to announce their sponsorship of the 2013 Lincoln County June Dairy Month Breakfast & Ag Producer Expo. This exciting event will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Merrill Area Recreation Complex located at 1100 Marc Drive (off Hwy 107 North) in Merrill. A delicious breakfast will be served from 8 am until 12 noon. The menu will include All You Care To Eat “Dad’s Belgian Waffles” with toppings, scrambled eggs, sausage links, real Wisconsin cheese curds, chocolate and white milk, cranberry and orange juice and coffee. The cost of the breakfast is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-11 and children 5 & under are free. A portion of the proceeds will support the FFA Alumni Scholarship Fund. In addition to the breakfast, you won’t want to miss the dairy fun activities! There will be horse and wagon rides, “Grampa’s Farm” petting zoo, FREE caricature portraits by Melody, Carl Jackson will performing from 8:30 – 11:30 am and other kid’s activity areas. Also, the Lincoln County Farm Bureau will feature an Ag Producer Expo. This is your chance to meet the local people who produce the things you use everyday. Bring the family out to the MARC for a morning of delicious food and dairy fun!

Lake DuBay Lions 32nd Annual Summerfest

The 32st annual Lake DuBay Lions Summerfest event featuring great food, beverage, beer, wine coolers, bingo 6:30-10 pm Fri. & Sat., games, raffles, and live music bands. On Friday night the Jerry Schmitt band plays from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm and on Saturday night the band The Cow Tippers plays from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm. On Saturday, breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, at 8:00 am our rummage sale starts, a children's petting zoo from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at 4:00pm a Polka Mass with the Old Time Brass & Choraleers, and a chicken dinner at 5:00pm. Also on Saturday, The Dewey Fire Department sponsors a motorcycle ride from Lions Park to Dells of the Eau Claire (registration 10:30 am). The money raffle drawing will be at 10:00 pm on Saturday.
