Ice Shanty Contest and Display

Join us for the 6th Annual Ice Shanty Competition and Display. Think your shanty is the best? Enter it in our competition to win great prizes. Hundreds of curious Santa visitors will stop by to see your prize Shanty. We will be serving hot chocolate and hot dogs out of some of the shantys.

Six Spooky Words Contest

Any Marathon County Public Library location
Can you write a scary story in just six spooky words? For the Halloween season, the Marathon County Public Library will run a contest for patrons and other community members to submit a six-word horror story. The library will accept entries from October 1 through Oct. 26. The winning entries will be shared with the public via a poster in the library and through social media. Entries can be submitted on paper at any Marathon County Public Library location, or online by emailing email@example.com. The winning entrants will have their choice of several MCPL prizes.
The event is free and open to the public.

Model Contest and Swap Meet
Time: 9:00 ,A.M. until 4:00 P.M.
Entry Fee: Adults: $10.00 for the first 20 models, and $1.00 for each additional model. Juniors & Intermediates: $5.00 for all entries. Each entrant receives a raffle ticket
Other Activities: Large Raffle, Large swap meet on-site!
Open to the General Public!
