The Neighbors' Place Hosts 7th Annual Empty Bowls

Nov 22, 2014 11am - 2pm

Rothschild Pavillion
Local artists, students, and community members handcraft and donate hundreds of bowls to the event each year. These bowls serve as a reminder that somewhere in our community there is someone who is hungry and faces an uncertain future due to poverty.

For a $10 ticket (children 6-12 $5 (meal only); children under 6 eat free), attendees will receive a:

• Handcrafted bowl
• Meal of soup, bread, and dessert (donated by local restaurants and chefs)
• Live (local) music
• Opportunity to participate in a silent auction
• The satisfaction of knowing you've helped a neighbor in need - all proceeds from the event benefit The Neighbors' Place Food Bank!

The Neighbors' Place Food Bank provides food to more than 500 families each week. But with 25% of our neighbors in Marathon County living in poverty, this number continues to increase--despite the fact that the majority of these families are employed.
