The art program strives to create an environment that encourages students to take risks and experiment with subject matter, concept, process and creative outcome.
The 2014 Student Art Exhibit showcases 154 pieces of artwork created by the U.W. Marshfield Campus art students.

4th Annual Mike's Run

Mike was an incredible father, brother, son, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.. On the surface, Mike had it all – Valedictorian, State Champion athlete, loving family, and a great heart. Everyone knew Mike was destined for success and happiness. However, inside he struggled with anxiety and depression for most of his life. He battled that illness in every way possible, before ending his life on June 23, 2010.

Marshfield Clinic and the family and friends of Mike Hackman are joining together to speak out about mental illness. Through Mike's Run, we want to bring an awareness of mental health problems to the public and provide a hopeful message for all of the people affected by these challenges. Help us spread awareness of mental health issues and decrease the stigma. We need your support.

Race Information:
5 Mile Run-
- $20 registration fee
- Route on bike/walking trail and on neighborhood streets
- Cash prizes awarded for top finishers. high school athletes are not eligible to win cash prizes per WIAA regulations
- No walkers, rollerblades or stollers on this course.

The Lil' Buckshot race is geared toward those who cannot participate in the larger 2 and 5 Mile race on Saturday, August 30, or for those who want to do both days.
Registration and check in for the Wednesday night event begins at 5:30 and the race starts at 6pm. Concessions, music and an awards ceremony will follow.
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.

Ali Amr, an award-winning qanun performer and vocalist, will be performing at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County Auditorium on April 25 at 7:00 pm. The qanun is a traditional Middle Eastern instrument, similar to a hammered dulcimer, zither, or autoharp. Ali has explored a variety of musical genres and has developed a unique style that combines traditional Middle Eastern music with elements of hip hop, jazz, and soul. He has been recognized with numerous national and international awards. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston he now resides in New York City and tours with his own group, “The Experiment."
