YMCA KIDS NIGHT OUT

Marshfield Area YMCA
The Marshfield Area YMCA knows parents need a break from time to time. With Kids Night Out, parents can have a night out while kids have fun at the Y enjoying games, water slides, swimming and a pizza party. Kids Night Out is scheduled on Friday, December 5, from 5:30-8:30 pm for Grades K-6. Cost is $12 per child for Y members; $18 per child for non-members; and each additional sibling is $3.

Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance

How to Create Zentangle Art

Teens and tweens can learn how to create Zentangle art on November 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters.
Zentangle is a unique form of art that anyone can learn. It is not only a fun and beautiful form of drawing, but also has a number of proven benefits including stress management, relaxation, and improving focus and creativity. This is a two-part event, with the second part of the event occurring on December 6 at 1:00 p.m. The first day of the event will consist of a lesson on what Zentangle is and how to do it, along with a take-home activity. On the second day, teens and tweens will create a unique Zentangle craft, which can be used as a holiday gift.

All supplies are provided, and this event is open to teens and tweens only.

On November 28, we will watch “How to Train Your Dragon 2” at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The film is rated PG. There is no school for the Wausau District and DC Everest on this day, but the library is open for free family fun.
“How to Train Your Dragon 2” has a running time of 105 minutes and is rated PG. Film synopsis: “When Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.”

The Central Wisconsin Children's Museum wants to be beneficial for every child, so we open the museum the 1st Monday of each month from 5-7pm exclusively for families that have children with Autism. The museum is available for parents and children to play together in a "less overwhelming" atmosphere. This program is free no preregistration required.

Hands-on activities focused on the core areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics will be provided for kids so that they can learn, discover, create and have fun.
