"Bike to Work Week Celebration"

A gathering to celebrate "Bike to Work Week" ( May 12-16) on "Bike to Work Day" May 16 A bike rodeo, brief speeches by Mayor Andrew Halverson and County Executive Patty Dreier, who will then lead the Family and Fun rides in the nearby area. The gathering is free, open to all ages, all abilities.

Wisconsin Lions Camp Fun Run, Walk and Ride

On August 16, 2014, the Wisconsin Lions Camp will be hosting its 5th Annual Fun Run, Walk and Ride. This event is for runners, walkers, and bikers of all different skill levels. Proceeds raised at this event support our Summer Camp Program that provides a free camp experience for Wisconsin youth and adults with disabilities
The 5K run or walk and 10K run will be held on the beautifully maintained nature trails of the Wisconsin Lions Camp. Both the 15 mile and 30 mile bike rides start and end at the Camp and take you through a scenic countryside. Both events are chip-timed. The 5K and 10K courses are certified (WI-11021-DM).

35th Annual Wausau Triathlon

Sunny Vale Park, 1000 72 Ave, Wausau, Wisconsin 54401
Join about 500 athletes and volunteers at Sunny Vale Park on Wausau’s far west side for this challenging 3-part event. Race is 8 a.m. Aug. 2, 2014. Participants may register for one of the following: the Long Course (1/2 mile swim, 28 mile bike and 6.2 mile run), the Short Course (1/4 mile swim, 17 mile bike and 3.1 mile run) or the Mini Tri (3/16 swim, 9.2 mile bike and 2 mile run). The Triathlon is open to anyone 16 years and older. Register by July 30 at the business desk of either YMCA branch for discounted rates. Sorry, we cannot process race-day registrations. 6th Annual Woodson YMCA Duathlon/Badger State Games

Aspirus YMCA, 3420 Howland Ave., Weston, WI
The Duathlon will offer a course consisting of a 5K run, 28K bike and ending with a 3K run for both individuals and teams. This is the perfect race to begin your triathlon/race season. Proceeds will benefit our Community Partners Campaign. Attend a mandatory race meeting at 7:30 a.m. and race starts at 8:30 a.m. Sat. June 14, 2014 at Aspirus Branch.
