This annual summer golf event features 18 holes of golf (4-person scramble) at the scenic Wausau Country Club, a private E.L. Packard-designed golf course surrounded by the beauty of pine trees and Lake Wausau.

Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. with shot gun start at 11:30 a.m. Following golf, there will be hors d'oeuvres, presentation of awards, and raffle winners will be announced.

Your registration includes cart, green fees, & lunch. There will also be the option to purchase a team mulligan and tee box on the day of the event - as well as a raffle featuring premier prizes (including tickets to a pre-season Packer-game!)

All contributions to this event benefit The Neighbors' Place programs serving people in need.

23rd Annual Musky Memorial Classic

The 23rd annual Kevin Worrall Memorial Musky Classic will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, in memory of Kevin, who loved to fish. This tournament was a HUGE success last year in part to the sponsors, fishermen, and volunteers. There was an outstanding turn out with a total of 119 boats. The tournament netted $7,304 as a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield. This House provides temporary lodging for families of ill children using the Marshfield medical facilities. www.rmhc-marshfield.org

2nd Annual Don Lintereur Memorial Run Presented by Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital

Don was a running icon in Tomahawk who inspired people of all ages to develop a love for running and living a healthy lifestyle. This run in his honor will carry on his passion for running and commitment to the field of education. Proceeds will go toward a scholarship fund established in his name.

Race Start Times: 1/2 - 8:00 am; 10K/5K - 9 am; 1 MILE - 10:00 am
Entry fees: 1/2 Marathon: $55; 5K Run/Walk & 10K: $35; 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run: $10

All Races will be professionally timed. 1/2 Marathon course USATF certified and 5K & 10K measured for accuracy by USATF.
Packet Pick-Up and In Person Registration will be on Friday, August 1st, from 6-8 pm at the Nokomis Town Hall, 2541 Lake Nokomis Road, Tomahawk, WI and from 6:00 - 8:00 am on Saturday, August 2nd at Nokomis Community Park.

All of the race courses are moderately flat. Water stations with Gatorade will be available on all courses.Refreshments will be available for all runners. This one-mile stroll in Marathon Park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while raising awareness of epilepsy, supporting individual services, and increasing community education and research in hopes of soon finding a cure.

The Epilepsy Foundation Heart of Wisconsin is a non-profit organization. Funds raised will be used locally to provide services and education to individuals with epilepsy and their families and offer seizure recognition and first aid training to the community.

This biking event features bicycle routes from across Wisconsin riding to raise funds for The Highground Veterans Memorial Park. This is a great event for bikers of all skill levels, families and those who wish to support our veterans. Bike routes will begin August 1st in Hayward, Middleton, Appleton and New Richmond. All routes will join together to enter The Highground on Sunday, August 3rd. Benefit for Levi

Levi Hoppenworth, is the 4 ½ year old son of Adam Hoppenworth and Erin Pestka (also part of the Betzner and Wielock families) who sustained severe head trauma in May 2012 due to an accident. He is in need of ongoing care and has been hospitalized multiple times over the past two years.

Angels of Miracles along with family, friends and loved ones are hosting the 3rd Annual Benefit for Levi the weekend of August 8-10, 2014 at the Marathon City Sports Center, 1200 Hwy 107 in Marathon, WI in a continued effort to add to Levi's trust fund.

We will be holding a Softball and Volleyball Tournaments, Monster Home Run Derby, Beer Drinking Trophies, Dunk Tank, Bouncy House, Musical Entertainment and Refreshments. There will also be 50/50 Raffles, Bucket Raffles and a Bat Raffle.

It’s family friendly yet tough enough for the hard-core competitors. Ages 5-85 typically participate. The Lil' Buckshot race is geared toward those who cannot participate in the larger 2 and 5 Mile race on Saturday, August 30, or for those who want to do both days.
Registration and check in for the Wednesday night event begins at 5:30 and the race starts at 6pm. Concessions, music and an awards ceremony will follow.
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.

Marshfield Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the Alzheimer's Association's signature event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. Start a team, join a team or sponsor a team. The 2-3 mile Walk includes food and raffles. If you can't make it on September 13th, register today to be a virtual walker! Proceeds benefit local programs of the Alzheimer's Association.

**There is no registration fee. T-shirts are awarded to adults raising $100 or more and Champions Club medals are awarded to those raising $500 or more. Youth 18 and under receive a t-shirt after raising $35.00.

Wisconsin Lions Camp Fun Run, Walk and Ride

On August 16, 2014, the Wisconsin Lions Camp will be hosting its 5th Annual Fun Run, Walk and Ride. This event is for runners, walkers, and bikers of all different skill levels. Proceeds raised at this event support our Summer Camp Program that provides a free camp experience for Wisconsin youth and adults with disabilities
The 5K run or walk and 10K run will be held on the beautifully maintained nature trails of the Wisconsin Lions Camp. Both the 15 mile and 30 mile bike rides start and end at the Camp and take you through a scenic countryside. Both events are chip-timed. The 5K and 10K courses are certified (WI-11021-DM).
