What it's Worth? Antique Appraisal

Antique appraiser Mark Moran will evaluate and appraise antique items during “What’s it Worth?” from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Wausau Room at the Marathon County Public Library Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Residents can bring in antique items such as toys, clocks, lamps, costume jewelry, vintage photographs and glassware.
Moran formerly was senior editor of Antiques and Collectibles Books for Krause Publications in Iola, Wis. He also has been a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine. He served as editor of Antique Review East magazine; as producer of Atlantique City, an antique show held in Atlantic City, New Jersey; and as editorial director of F+W Media's Antiques Group. He is the author or co-author of more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles, including the 800-page annual Warman's Antiques & Collectibles. Moran bought and sold antiques for more than 30 years, specializing in vintage folk art, Americana, and fine art. He was also a newspaper editor and reporter for three decades.
Cost for the event is $10 per item for appraisals. Advance registration is required for appraisals. Admission is free for spectators.
