Indoor and outdoor activities for all ages—bird and wildflower walks, games, crafts, geocaching, plus presentations about butterfly and bird identification, bird vocalizations, feeding and housing. Food and door prizes will be distributed throughout the day. New event will be a free bird bus to the Miller Dam area.

35th Annual Wausau Triathlon
8am Race Start
Sunny Vale Park, 1000 72 Ave, Wausau, Wisconsin 54401
Join about 500 athletes and volunteers at Sunny Vale Park on Wausau’s far west side for this challenging 3-part event. Race is 8 a.m. Aug. 2, 2014. Participants may register for one of the following: the Long Course (1/2 mile swim, 28 mile bike and 6.2 mile run), the Short Course (1/4 mile swim, 17 mile bike and 3.1 mile run) or the Mini Tri (3/16 swim, 9.2 mile bike and 2 mile run). The Triathlon is open to anyone 16 years and older. Register by July 30 at the business desk of either YMCA branch for discounted rates. Sorry, we cannot process race-day registrations. Enjoy over 20 outdoor related activities ranging from archery and pellet rifles to duck calling, fishing and compass reading, canoeing and rock climbing. This is a free event and includes lunch and raffle prizes
