A Janesville company says it has a solution to the oil spill clean up in the Gulf Coast.
Monterey Mills has been making textiles for about 60 years, but it was just a few weeks ago, when they realized one of its fabrics might work well to help clean up the nation's largest oil spill.
Company leaders tested a bio-degradable, wool based fabric, they say can soak up 7 times its weight in oil, using tap water and motor oil at their Wisconsin site, but they knew it had to be tested it in the field.
After three days in Louisiana, the CEO says the fabric worked just as well as it did at its company site. The company leader says BP may be interested.
