Milwaukee Buses Dedicate Front Seats to Rosa Parks
On Tuesday, the Milwaukee County Transit System dedicated the first seat of each bus to Rosa Parks' memory.

She wasn't the first to keep her seat and face the consequences, but she was the face the Civil Right Movement had been waiting for.
This week in 1955, an African-American seamstress named Rosa Parks rode into US history, refusing to move aside for a white passenger on an Alabama bus, refusing to pay a fine and setting off the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
On Tuesday, the Milwaukee County Transit System dedicated the first seat of each bus to her memory.
