Colby Cheese Days in Colby begins today and runs through Sunday.
There will be a cheese run, parade, tractor pulls and cheese curd throwing contest.
The event also features free cheese and an amusement midway.
Marshfield will be going to the dogs this weekend.
The 3rd Annual Dog Expo is set for Saturday at the Paws-n-Play Dog Park.
They will have a police dog and sheep herding demonstration, silent auction, sports for your dog, and dogs from the Humane Society available for adoption.
This year, they are even adding a parade of dogs to the fun.
All the money raised is for upkeep at the dog park.
Jazz will be filling the air in Wausau this weekend.
The second annual Sid Kyler Riverfront Jazz Festival takes the stage at the Bull Falls Brewery Friday and Saturday.
It features a variety of bands, all playing jazz music.
Organizers hope it will help the community appreciate this classic sound.
A clean sweep is set for Friday and Saturday in Vilas County at the Lac Du Flambeau Transfer Station.
Another clean sweep event is set for August 5th and 6th at the Vilas County Fairgrounds.
This is a chance to dispose of old paint, batteries, household chemicals and fluorescent bulbs.
All items that are collected will be disposed of properly.
There is a fee for the items that are brought in.
Last year Vilas County residents got rid of six tons of hazardous waste through clean sweep.
