POSITION: Multi-Media Journalist

WSAW-TV, the Gray Television owned, CBS-affiliate in Wausau, Wisconsin, is seeking a multi-media journalist to join North Central Wisconsin’s most-watched news team.

Duties will include creating unique content for Newscasts and New Media Platforms from conception to completion. This includes enterprising story ideas, gathering interviews, shooting and editing video, writing and producing stories, and live on-air delivery of content. The position also includes newscast producing and writing for the web.

Requirements of the position include: excellent news judgment, strong broadcast and AP writing skills, and a degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent work experience. Applicants should have a strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task, work under and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Avid iNews, Grass Valley Edius, Sony XDCAM cameras and Clickability Dynamic Site Platform preferred. We will train the right candidate.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Advertising Account Executive is responsible for creating strong partnerships with local and regional businesses. Account Executives are responsible for developing new business and maintaining current business with the following products: WSAW-TV7 (CBS), ESAW (MyTV), MomsEveryday.com, and other new media programs.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, business or related degree is a plus
• Efficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Previous experience in advertising, marketing and/or sales is a plus.

POSITION: Chief Meteorologist

WSAW-TV, Gray Television’s CBS Affiliate in Wausau, Wisconsin, is seeking a Chief Meteorologist for a full-time, on-air position. This is our first Chief opening in 17 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the News Director to set the direction of North Central Wisconsin's Local Weather Authority.

Responsibilities will include producing and anchoring daily weather broadcasts on our evening newscasts, for weather cut-ins and live coverage during breaking/severe weather. Forecasts will also be produced for multiple platforms, including our 24/7 weather channel, wsaw.com and our social media sites.

The ideal candidate must be able to present a dynamic, compelling, easy to understand weathercast, and will embrace online/social tools for expanding weather coverage. Must be able to cover severe weather with urgency and accuracy on all platforms. Our meteorologists also report in the field. Knowledge of the Weather Central graphics system will be considered a plus. At least 4 years of experience as a television meteorologist required.

Strong On-Air Presence
Knowledge of Weather Central graphics system including Fusion, ESP:Live and Microcast.
Ability to 'win' severe weather coverage on all platforms
