Morning Reporter/Producer

WSAW-TV, the CBS Affiliate in Wausau, WI is seeking a morning reporter and producer for a full-time opening in the News Department.

Duties will include producing newscast content, covering breaking news, setting up live interviews, enterprising news stories, reporting live during our morning show. Occasional fill-in anchoring is likely.

We’re looking for someone who can make decisions about newscast content and write scripts for air, and also gather stories in the field and execute live shots. Must be comfortable with breaking news and performing under pressure. We are an aggressive, award-winning newsroom looking for someone to contribute to the team. Successful candidate will have experience producing newscasts. writing content, and reporting live. Must be able to carry 35 pounds of gear. Minimum one-year of experience preferred. NO phone calls please.

Qualifications:
- 1 Year Experience
- Comfortable with reporting live
- Experience with Avid iNews a plus
- Non-linear editing experience a plus
- Ability to Write for the Web
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

News Producer

WSAW-TV, the CBS Affiliate in Wausau, WI is seeking a newscast producer. Duties include story selection, writing, and adding production elements to newscasts. Multiple shifts are available.

Applicants should have an excellent news judgment, strong broadcast writing skills, and a strong work ethic. A command of the English language is required. Degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent work experience preferred. Familiarity with Avid iNews strongly desired. A sense of urgency and team attitude are a must.

Video Journalist

WSAW-TV, the CBS Affiliate in Wausau, WI is seeking a Video Journalist for a full-time opening in the News Department. We're looking for someone who's excited to tell unique stories to our viewers. Ideal candidate will be resourceful in finding ways to use new technologies to deliver and expand upon content. Must be a solid writer, be able to shoot and edit video, and post content on wsaw.com and social media platforms. We're looking for someone who can handle the pressure of deadlines with a sense of urgency and who doesn’t mind hard work. Must be able to carry 35 pounds of gear. One year of experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
