NewsChannel 7 Nominated for 2 Emmy Awards

Newschannel 7 is proud to announce two stories we brought you this year are now nominated for Emmy Awards.

Mikel Lauber’s ‘Secrets in Shawano’ was nominated in the ‘Investigative Series’ Category.

Our online Brett Favre sports special, ‘The End of an Era’, which was hosted live on our WebChannel by Jeff Thelen and Mike Jacques, was also nominated in the ‘Advanced Media Sports Program’ category.

This year’s ceremony for the 50th annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago.

NewsChannel 7 is the only station in NorthCentral Wisconsin to be nominated for an Emmy Award. A link to a complete list of Emmy nominees, and links to both Emmy-nominated special reports can be found linked to below.

    I praise you guys for doing such a good job with your investigation and reporting. I just wish that this would get some more action going on in this case and end it. Too many families, lives, and people have been ruined in this whole cult thing. Once again Congratulations!

    Congratulations WSAW and Mike Lauber! Keep up the good work. Thanks also to the blog keepers who have diligently monitored these discussions and debates providing a safe place for the affected to pour out our sadness, grief, frustration and anger. We appreciate all your hard work.

    Thank you, WSAW and Mike Lauber, for the excellent work. A huge thank you also for all the blogging opportunities. This has been hugely valuable for former members and current members, at least for some of them. It takes a lot of guts for a news station to dig into this hell-hole and all its issues, when it is easier to look the other way. Thank you again.

    Congratulations Mike, and the rest of you that have done much to expose the leader of this destructive and heretical cult. Keep up the good work! There are still members trapped on the inside and relatives on the outside that are undergoing much suffering from the abuse and control that is practiced in the sect.
