Name: Jeremy Tabin
Title: Meterologist
Broadcast Times: NewsChannel 7 Weekend
Email Address: jtabin@wsaw.com

Jeremy Tabin is a familiar face here in Northcentral Wisconsin. He arrived at NewsChannel 7 in May 2007 after spending more than three years working as a meteorologist at another station in Wausau, as well as providing forecasts on a variety of radio stations in town.

He is a proud graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Meteorology and was awarded the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal in 2010. He is the first meteorologist in the Wausau television market to achieve this accreditation.

Jeremy grew up in Mount Holly, NJ, ironically within a close distance of the local National Weather Service office and has been fascinated by the weather ever since elementary school. During his youth, he was a weather watcher for WPHL 17 in Philadelphia, PA and an avid listener of NOAA weather radio. While in high school, he experienced a tornado that came within a couple miles of his home. Fortunately this weak twister caused little in the way of damage. One of the many aspects Jeremy enjoys most about forecasting in Northcentral Wisconsin is that every season features exciting weather - from snowstorms in the winter to severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in spring and summer.

In his free time, Jeremy is an active member of the Greater Wausau Kiwanis, having served as club Vice President and President. In addition, he is an Assistant Administrator for the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Circle K, which is a service leadership organization sponsored by Kiwanis. He loves to take part in a variety of service projects, ranging from lending a helping hand at Easter Seal’s Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, to being a volunteer for the Kiwanis Little Olympics held each spring in Wausau, to selling his club’s famous elephant ears each summer at the Wisconsin Valley Fair. In addition, Jeremy is a big fan of Penn State football (Go Nittany Lions!) and his hometown Philly sports teams.
