Mike Jacques returns to NewsChannel 7 following a two-year stint in Madison with WMTV-TV. Growing up in Greendale, Wisconsin, of course Mike is an avid Packer fan. But "covering high school sports is my favorite part about being the Sports Director at NewsChannel 7. To me, seeing the passion and compassion of both players, and fans alike, are truly what sports are all about." Sports reporting has always been Mike's passion. After graduating from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in broadcast journalism, he worked at WISN-TV in Milwaukee as a sports reporter/producer. In August of 2002, he moved to Eau Claire, where he became the weekend sports anchor/reporter. Mike brought his love of Wisconsin sports to the NewsChannel 7 Sports desk in September of 2003. And what does your sports director do on his day off? Play sports, of course! "I have an addiction to golf, which can only be cured by playing. More importantly, I love spending time with my wife, Carol, and our children, Elizabeth Ann and Luke."
