Name: Liz Hayes
Title: Reporter, Producer
Broadcast Times: NewsChannel 7
Email Address: lhayes@wsaw.com

Liz first became interested in broadcast journalism during high school when she took a media productions class and began honing her interviewing skills.

She attended UW-Eau Claire and received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in broadcast journalism in 2005, where she was active in the student-ran television station TV-10. There, she reported and anchored the news magazine, "It's U We C."

Her favorite part of college was studying abroad at the University of KwaZula-Natal in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. There, she practiced the Zulu language and traveled the country.

Her first professional news job was in radio in her hometown of Antigo. She acted as News Director for WACD/WATK, gaining valuable experience.

Liz was thrilled to join WSAW in April of 2008 and loves being so close to home. In her free time, Liz prefers to spend time with family and friends, travel, be outdoors, curl up to a good book and play with her cat, Scooty.
