Emily Davies joined the WSAW-TV news team in October 2013 and is ecstatic about being back in the great state of Wisconsin.
Emily came to WSAW-TV all the way from California's San Francisco Bay Area, but was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin and spent many years in the Pewaukee/Waukesha area. She also spent some time in Los Angeles and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in journalism and a minor in psychology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).
Whether she was in the Bay Area or around the Hollywood scene, Emily was always active in local newsrooms.
She interned with KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland, CA, the FOX affiliate for the Bay Area during her summers and at the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles, KABC 7, while at CSUN.
Emily also worked on CSUN's weekly newscast and public affairs show, Valley View News and CSUN On Point where she held multiple positions during her time there. One Valley View Newscast that she co-produced, sports anchored, and assisted in team coverage reporting won the Mark of Excellence Award: Best All-Around Television Newscast from the Society of Professional Journalist. She also had the opportunity to cover major stories like the Shuttle Endeavour's trek through Los Angeles and the national election. Emily worked at CSUN's radio station, KCSN as a writer and reporter, as well.
When not searching out stories, Emily can be found going off on adventures around town, cheering on the Packers (no, she did not lose her loyalty while in California), and learning something new.
She'd love to hear from you and any story ideas you may have! You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org or on Facebook and Twitter.
