Holly Chilsen is excited to start her career at WSAW. She joined the NewsChannel 7 team in August 2012 as a producer for the 6 and 10 evening weekday newscasts. She added reporting to her duties in May 2013.
Holly is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. She majored in Radio/TV/Film and has a minor in Journalism. During her first two years as an undergrad, Holly spent much of her time working at the campus radio station, 90.3 WRST. It wasn’t until Holly’s third year as an undergrad that she got her chance at everything that is TV news. She started up Titan TV News, an all student-run, once a week newscast, as a producer, anchor, reporter and director.
Holly is also still an active alum, returning every year to help host a 8-hour-long live telethon, which raises money for an organization aimed at finding a cure for A-T, a rare childhood disease.
During her last semester, Holly interned at WLUK- Fox 11 in Green Bay, WI.
Holly is a native of Appleton, WI, and is excited to continue her adventure into the career world of news.
A lifelong Wisconsinite, she enjoys storytelling! If you have any story ideas for her, email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
