Ali Ingersoll joined the WSAW news team in March 2013 and is excited to be starting her career in North Central Wisconsin. Ali is the Sunrise 7 producer and reporter.
A Pennsylvania native, Ali grew up outside of Philadelphia and is a proud alumna of The Pennsylvania State University where she received degrees in Broadcast Journalism, English and Communication Arts and Sciences. While at Penn State, she was an anchor and reporter for the Centre County Report. She provided live coverage of the 2012 Presidential Election, the Jerry Sandusky scandal and the Penn State Board of Trustees meetings. As part of the CCR news team, the show won the Society of Professional Journalists Best Overall Newscast and the Broadcast Education Association Best Overall Newscast. Ali hosted a game show called What's That Fact and co-hosted a morning radio talk show. Ali also worked as a promotion and marketing intern for Penn State football.
Ali's love of journalism started at a young age when she would write up stories based on what what happening around the neighborhood and report "live" about the latest happenings from her basement. Through her various internships and experiences, her love of news has only grown.
Ali was a production assistant and programming intern at WPVI 6ABC in Philadelphia, a freelance writer and content generator for HappyValley.com in State College, PA, a news intern at WTAJ in Altoona, PA, a production intern at ABC News in New York City and a morning show intern at 94.5 PST in Princeton, New Jersey.
When Ali isn't chasing the latest story, she can be found tweeting (@AliEIngersoll), cheering on her Nittany Lions, playing tennis or drinking iced coffee.
