Kristen Guilfoos anchors Sunrise 7 weekday mornings from 4:30-7am. She joined the NewsChannel 7 team in February 2012, coming to Wausau from Amarillo, Texas where she was the Weekend Anchor/Reporter for KFDA, the CBS affiliate there.

She is from Tampa, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications News in December 2007. While at UF, she was a weather anchor and reporter for WUFT as well as an anchor and producer for AM850 Radio, both in Gainesville, Florida. She also interned for two years at WFLA in Tampa.

Kristen is a huge, unapologetic Florida Gator fan and is proud to have attended school during Florida's back-to-back-to-back basketball and football national championships. GO GATORS!!

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis and golf, rollerblading, and swimming. She is a certified lifeguard and swim instructor. Her most recent endeavor is becoming a master in the kitchen - slowly but surely she’s honing in on her culinary skills...so far, so good! As a Florida girl, Kristen is much more used to sand than snow, but she’s looking forward to winter weather adventures… especially learning how to ski!
