Leah joined NewsChannel 7 in November of 2011 as a Video Journalist.

She is a native of Rochester, NY and graduated from the University of Rochester in 2009 with a degree in English.

During college Leah worked as an editor for the “Campus Times” newspaper and as an on-air DJ for WRUR, the college’s radio station. While studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland she interned for Newstalk Radio.

She reported from Washington D.C. and covered Capitol Hill for KOLR-TV in Springfield, MO while completing her M.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. An internship with WHAM-TV in Rochester, NY also helped her gain valuable experience.

In her free time Leah enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and pouring over pictures of her two dogs back home. She recalls shaking Matt Lauer’s hand outside of NBC studios in New York as a child as one of her favorite broadcast memories.
