According to a press release, from the Oneida County Recreation Coordinator, the state funded snowmobile trails will open Friday, December 30 at noon.

A 3. 5 mile stretch of Northwoods Passage Snowmobile Trail 8 from the intersection of Trails 8 and 8B near Oak Drive to North Rifle Road will remain closed until further notice.

The condition of the trails was not provided in the release.

Trails in Vilas County are also open at this time.
