There will be a new state champ in Division 1. The SPASH Panthers have knocked off 2009 champ Miwaukee Marquette 21-3 to advance to the Division 1 title game in Madison for their 8th straight win.
SPASH's defense dominated the game. They held Marquette to -14 yards rushing and 53 yards of total offense.
Tanner Kolbeck led the charge offensively for the Panthers with 200 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. As a team they racked up 336 yards of total offense.
The Panthers will face the winner between Kenosha Bradford-Waukesha West. The Panthers lost to Bradford 48-17 in week 2.
SPASH has played in a state title game since 1977, when they lost 19-14 to Madison West.
