A scuba instructor came across a ring last weekend and now the owner has it back on his hand.
Bob Hazelwood took the ring to the Door County clerks office, and handed it over to Jill Lau, who discovered an inscription, "Love Brenda, September 19, 1986."
Lau then did some detective work through Wisconsin's public records and made a phone call to the still-married couple in Green Bay.
The ring is Michael Hnilicka's original from his wedding day. He lost it while snorkeling in Jacksonport last week.
