Women's hockey drops game two against Gustavus Adolphus

Just one day after the two teams scored a combined 10 goals, both defenses stepped up on day two.

After a scoreless first two periods, the Gusties finally broke through to score the game's only goal midway through the third.

UWSP goaltender Hillary Drake (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) tallied a career high 42 saves.

The Gusties used two goalies for the second consecutive night and combined for 17 saves on the afternoon.

Josie Johnson (Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) led the Pointers with four shots and Nicole Schaub (Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) followed with three.

UWSP returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 16 as they travel to Fond du Lac to take on Marian. Face-off set for 7 p.m.
