Women's basketball rolls past Edgewood, 77-58

The Eagles got on the board first, holding a lead for the first two minutes of the game until the Pointers offense took over.

UWSP took the lead off a 3-pointer by Sam Barber (Schofield, WI/D.C. Everest/Winona St.) and never looked back, building its lead to as many as 30 points in the first half.

The Pointers continued their dominance in the second half, never allowing the Eagles to come within 15.

Barber led the Pointers with 17 points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

Josi Schultz (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) also reached double digit scoring in the win recording 13 points and pulling down six rebounds.

Edgewood's Mariah Hill had a game-high 24 points, going 10-for-18 from the field.

UWSP (9-3, 1-2 WIAC) returns to action Jan. 3 when it hosts UW-River Falls (8-4, 2-1 WIAC) in a conference matchup. Action set for 8 p.m. in Berg Gym.
