Wausau West has had an up and down season. They've beaten teams ranked among the best in the state; and they've lost or tied with teams not ranked at all. Saturday was their biggest win of all.
They traveled to Green Bay to take on top ranked Notre Dame Academy; and came home with a 4-3 overtime win.
Also over the weekend, the Warriors were granted the top seed in their regional for the WIAA Tournament. West can clinch their fifth straight Valley Conference Championship with a win over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
