UWSP women's hockey falls to St. Norbert, 4-1

After a scoreless first period, the Green Knights tallied a power play goal five minutes into the second stanza to take the 1-0 lead. St. Norbert added another second period goal to take the 2-0 lead into the third period.

SNC continued itsscoring attack as Karissa Anderson netted her second goal of the game 25 seconds into the third period.

Hailey Rock (St. Croix, WI/Central) put the Pointers on the board as she scored off the stick of Katherine Nejedlo (Fond du Lac, WI/Fond du Lac) less than two minutes into the third period.

With five minutes left in the contest the Pointers pulled goalie Janne Beilke-Skoug to gain an extra attacker. The Green Knights broke free and scored the empty net goal to secure the 4-1 victory.

Beilke-Skoug tallied 21 saves on the evening, as her counterpart Kaley Gibson tallied 20.

UWSP (11-10-3, 9-7-3 NCHA) and St. Norbert (13-9-2, 11-7-1 NCHA) close out the regular season tomorrow afternoon in De Pere at 3:30 p.m.
