Day three of the Canoe and Kayaking US Olympic Trials in Charlotte, North Carolina finished on Sunday and Stevens Point native Hailey Thompson finished third in the women's canoe event, good enough to make the US senior national team.
She unfortunately can't compete in the Olympics because her event won't be included until 2016.
The junior team trials will be held at Wausau Whitewater Park on May 19th and 20th, while the winners of that race will compete in the World Championships also in Wausau in July
