The quest for a repeat is over for SPASH. The 3rd-ranked Panthers were upset by Germantown 3-2 in the Division 1 State Softball Quarterfinals.

It was a scoreless game until Amanda Wiztlib hit a 2-run double in the 4th inning for a 2-0 Warhawks lead.

The Panthers evened it in the top of the 6th with a 2-run Melanie Leopold triple.

But the Warhawks responded with an Alexa Bechler RBI double. SPASH put runners at 2nd and 3rd in the 7th with no outs, but Lauren Lenard retired the next three hitters to clinch the victory for Germantown.

SPASH ends their season at 22-6.
