The Saints added two more goals in the second period for a 4-0 lead, but the Pointers got their scoring started in the third period.

Josh Daley put UWSP (13-9-1, 7-8-1 NCHA) on the board just over seven minutes into the third period.

Less than three minutes later Tyler Krueger (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH)'s first goal of the season cut the Pointer deficit in half at 4-2.

St. Scholastica went up 5-2, but Scott Henegar (Trenton, MI/Trenton)'s shorthanded breakaway goal brought UWSP to within 5-3.

The Saints scored on an empty net to put the game out of reach.

The Pointers travel to Menomonie, Wis. Thursday, Feb. 7 for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff with UW-Stout.
