Pointers come up short in 4-3 loss to St. Scholastica

The Pointers (11-7-1, 5-6-1 NCHA) got on the board first when Scott Henegar (Trenton, MI/Trenton) scored the first of his two power play goals on the night midway through the first period.

However, St. Scholastica (5-11-0, 2-8-0 NCHA) scored the next two goals to claim a 2-1 lead after the first period.

UWSP tied the game when Henegar scored again in the second period, but St. Scholastica once again scored consecutive goals to take a 4-2 lead after two periods.

Kyle Heck (Plover, WI/SPASH)'s 10th goal of the season in the third period brought the Pointers to within 4-3.

Three of St. Scholastica's goals were scored on the power play.

The Pointers don't play again until Friday, Jan. 25 when they travel to UW-River Falls for a 7:05 p.m. game.
