MADISON, Wis. -- Some names are instantly recognizable to Badgers fans (Fletcher, Gregory). One is a trailblazer (Kirchberg). They won conference and national titles (Tegen, Reinwand, Talafous). There's a two-sport star (Greenwood) and a gracious supporter (LaBahn). Together they make up the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2013.
Jamar Fletcher was a three-time All-American and won the 2000 Jim Thorpe Award as a member of the UW football team.
Park Falls native David Greenwood was an All-Big Ten selection in 1981-82 as a defensive back in football and won an individual conference title in the outdoor high jump.
Claude Gregory finished his career as the Badgers' all-time leading scorer and rebounder and still holds the career mark for rebounds. Andrea Kirchberg, the first softball player elected to UW's Hall of Fame, was a dominant pitcher in the early 2000s.
Jack Reinwand was a two-time All-American and won the 1976 NCAA title at 126 pounds. Dean Talafous was the hero of the Badger men's hockey team's 1973 NCAA title run, earning tourney MVP honors with his clutch goal-scoring.
One of the most successful coaches in Big Ten history, Peter Tegen led the UW women's track and cross country teams to an astounding 39 team conference titles. Chuck LaBahn, the lead benefactor for LaBahn Arena, earned a special service honor for his continued generous support of Badgers Athletics.
